Abdoulaye's Presentation

Hey Class,

Make sure you stop Abdoulaye around school and let him know what a great job he did.  That presentation was excellent, and so were the food and music.  Nice work!

What do we do about farming practices?

The real answer to that is to vote with our dollars? What does that mean?

Here are some local places that offer organic fruits and vegetables, free-range meat, and other healthier alternatives to factory farms.

Photo

They're located in New Orleans, have good, organic dairy products like cheese and yogurt, and fresh baked bread products. They're only open on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

They're a coalition of farmers within a hundred miles that pledge to bring organic foods.  Most of the time, their produce is affordable.

This place is located on the West Bank, has a huge selection of Asian and Latin foods, and some great prices on vegetables. Also, much of the fish is farmed by local farmers.  Really great place.

There's also a new co-op near Bywater that sells hard-to-find health foods, organic vegetables and meats.  This place has higher prices but good products.  There's also a yoga studio and cool book store in the building.

Your Final Presentation

Your final presentation will be next week, and it's your job to decide what it will be about.
